Cape Fear pecan originated from North Carolina and is grown throughout the south. Type I pecan, protandrous and precocious, requires two cultivars for pollinating, like Stuart or Elliot. It has an excellent character of resisting to disease like scab but susceptible to bacterial leaf scorch. It also produce high quality of pecans.

- It produces a typically 7.5-8.2 g nut with oval to oblong pecan husk, with 55% kernel. The seeds of pecan is crunchy and has a buttery flavor. Great for eating fresh and for cooking or dessert.
