Irish Luck Rose Rosa 'WEKamanda'

Other Common Name(s):

Phonetic Spelling
RO-zuh
Description

The mildly scented St. Patrick™ Rose is a Hybrid Tea Rose.  Its common name arises from the yellow petals that take on a slight greenish hue as they age.  It will bloom in flushes throughout the summer into fall.

An ideal plant to place in the front of a bed with taller plants in the rear.  It fills out to the ground.

Although low maintenance, it does require occasional maintenance.  It is best pruned in late winter, when the chance of extreme cold temperatures has passed.  Pruning should include the removal of old canes and dead or diseased wood as well as canes that cross.

Blooms appear on new wood.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  This plant is spiny, caution should be adhered to.  Overhead watering should be avoided.  In areas that experience colder temperatures, protection should be provided.
