Passionate Kisses Rosa 'Passionate Kisses'

Description

'Passionate Kisses' is a Floribunda cultivar shrub in the Rosaceae (rose) family that was introduced in 1998.  It was hybridized by Meilland International, and considered a modern rose.

The clusters of semi-double, salmon-coral pink colored flowers are reblooming from early spring to early fall.  The showy blooms make a beautiful contrast to the dense, dark green foliage.  The lightly scented blooms are great in your cutting garden.

Blooming occurs on new wood, pruning should be accomplished in late winter, after the threat of extremely cold temperatures have passed.

Its habit of growing to the ground eliminates the need for other plants to be placed in front.

Until the plant becomes established, watering should be done on a regular basis.

Although roses typically have similar insect issues, 'Passionate Kisses' is listed among the varieties that are naturally healthy and also disease resistant.

Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems:  Insects that can damage the foliage include rose slugs, Japanese beetles and Rose weevils.  Leaf cutter bees also chew on the leaves.

Aphids, especially the rose aphid, feed on the sap from a plant.  In low numbers, they aren't a huge issue, however, large numbers can cause the plant to produce fewer blooms and distorted growth.
