Henry Hudson rose Rosa 'Henry Hudson'

Phonetic Spelling
RO-zuh
Description

Henry Hudson is a hybrid rugosa rose with a compact habit and dark green foliage. The pink buds open to white semi-double blooms. In cooler weather the blooms are pink-tinged. It is a repeat bloomer and makes abundant red hips. Plant in moist well-drained soils in full sun. It is drought tolerant once established. Prune by the renewal method removing one-third of the oldest canes to the soil line as needed to keep the shrub open and new canes in production.

Extreme resistance to blackspot, mildew and rust.  Watch for Japanese beetle, aphids, cane borer, and rose midge. For full information on common pests and diseases, please see the Rosa page.
