America is a climbing rose with dark green leathery leaves lovely salmon-pink with lighter reverse fully double blooms. It blooms reliably from late spring to early fall singly or in small clusters and has a spicy clove fragrance. It is a vigorous climber with strong stems and nice green foliage. Plant in average to rich soil in a moist well-drained area with full sun. To ensure good flowering use a balanced fertilizer in the winter and early summer and use an organic mulch to protect and keep the roots moist. Plant it in vertical spaces along arbors or trellis, in borders, along walls or fences.
Insects, Diseases, and Other Plant Problems: Has shown good resistance to powdery mildew, rust, and blackspot.
