Description

Maryland Meadow Beauty is a native wildflower with light pink flowers found in the eastern and central USA.  In NC it is found in the coastal plains in sandy, wet, nutrient-poor acidic soil and tolerates periodic flooding. It grows in full sun to partial shade and can be used in water gardens, along streams or ponds and in bog gardens.

The 4-petaled flowers are pink to nearly white and bloom during the summers. The plant grows from rhizomes and can form colonies.
