Description

Liriope is a perennial, evergreen, tufted plant, with narrow, grass-like leaves Landscape, cultivated herbaceous ornamental. It is drought tolerant and moderately salt tolerant, and can be used as a lawn alternative; the variegated cultivars, in particular, are very popular.  Liriope is rhizomatous and has small potato-like swells on roots. It grows in shade or partial shade, best in well-drained soil.
