Ionactis linariifolius

Description

This plant, with its erect, wiry stems, drought tolerance and clump-forming habit, makes an excellent addition to the rock garden. Flowers are mostly blue-purple to white with a yellow center that may mature to red. The leaves are dense and needle-like. The plant is native to eastern North America.
