Description

'Magland' Holly is commonly found in the nursery industry under the trade name OAKLAND, is a dense broadleaf evergreen shrub that exhibits an erect pyramidal habit when mature.  Plant in the full sun to partial shade in moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soil.  Protected it from cold winter winds.

It has attractive red-orange berries that contrast the shiny spiny leaves and provide good winter interest along with providing food for songbirds.  Plant in a border, or use as a screen or in a foundation planting.
