Description

The stems, undersides of leaves and base of bracts of this plant are covered with dense white woolly hairs. Its narrow elliptical leaves are aromatic when crushed. It is usually found along roadsides and in fields. This wildflower is a larval host for the American Lady butterfly (Vanessa virginiensis).
