Lithocarpus henryi

Common Name(s):

Phonetic Spelling
lith-oh-KAR-pus HEN-ree-eye
Description

Prefers partial shade for best growth. It should make a good urban specimen as it is heat and drought tolerant. Has white, nonshowy flowers in spring and acorns in the fall.

This is a beautiful large shrub or small multitrunked tree, fully evergreen. It's rather tropical in appearance. Its habit is open, and not one for anyone who believes evergreens should be sheared into a tight, dense ball.
