The large koi need protection from the heron who occasionally pays a visit to the pond. This is accomplished with a two foot high removable fence that discourages him. The pond was built by the homeowner and has two levels. The upper level contains smaller fish and water plants.
The sight and sound of the water from the patio is very soothing and is often enjoyed with with friends.
