Border Garden- Pathway

Description

This wide garden is a border within a border. It was developed as a buffer for the lake it abuts. There are mature oak, pine, and sweet gum trees that provide shade with dogwood and crepe Myrtle at the lake edge.

A pine tree fell during a storm and rather than hauling the wood away, the cut logs were lined up as an additional border. That was six years ago, so the logs are decomposing and providing nutrients to the soil and plenty of food for the ecosystem.
