What to look for:

These raised beds are along part of the walkway around one of the ponds and are in full sun all day long. These photos are a small part of a larger butterfly garden dedicated to Mayor Kathy Kitts.

Plants were used that could take heat and humidity along with the reflected heat of hardscape. One is able to walk around the various raised beds for viewing or sit on the benches to relax and view the plants and the pond. Attempts are made to keep something blooming most of the year by replacing the lantanas with pansies and early blooming creeping phlox. There are also some evergreen shrubs and ground covers for winter interest.
